William Hauptman was born in Texas. His plays include Big River, a musical Hauptman wrote with the late Roger Miller that won seven Tony awards. His fiction, which has appeared in Atlantic Monthly, Southwest Review, and The Best American Short Stories, includes Good Rockin' Tonight, a collection of short stories; and The Storm Season, a novel. He is currently a guest lecturer at the Texas Center for Writers in Austin. Collection of Short Fiction, including Sierra Wave, 1988. |
